Step 12
Here is information on protecting your money and managing your RDSP
Protecting your money
A ‘scam’ or fraud is when someone tries to make money by tricking another person. Here are 4 ways to protect yourself and your money:
- Open your RDSP at a well-known financial institution.
- Only deposit your money at the financial institution where you have the RDSP.
- Do not invest in anything without professional guidance from your financial institution or a financial planner.
- Get help from family, good friends, or trusted advocacy organizations.
If you think you have been scammed, you can report it to the RCMP at 1-888-495-8501.
