Step 4 - Assured Income and AccessAbility Supports

Have you developed the Support Plan?

You answered "no".

Here is the information you will need to develop the Support Plan

Based on your Capability Assessment and your current unmet needs, you and your Support Coordinator will develop a Support Plan. Your Support Plan can include supports that are funded, such as respite hours, or unfunded, such as referrals. Your Support Plan will be tailored to you and your needs.

Medical costs typically are not covered through the AccessAbility Supports program, but they may be covered by the Assured Income program, if you qualify.

Important information about benefits for Indigenous Peoples

If you are Indigenous there are many things that affect the benefits you can get and the dollar amounts you can get from them. These include the agreements your band or governing body has with provincial, territorial, and federal governments. Before applying to any benefits, you should speak with your governing body, if applicable.

AFOA Canada and Prosper Canada are currently seeking funding to develop an online tool that serves the needs of Indigenous people living in Canada.
