You answered "no".

Here is the information you will need to schedule an appointment to complete the application package

Based on your phone call with the Department of Social Development, it will be determined if you are eligible to receive Income Assistance. If you are eligible, an appointment will be scheduled for you to complete the application package.

While you are waiting for your scheduled appointment, you should collect the documents you will need to bring to your appointment. This includes the following information about yourself and all members of your household:

  • Proof of identification
  • Proof of residence
  • Proof of assets
  • Proof of income
    • Wages or employment related documentation AND
    • Income other than wages

If you are Indigenous there are many things that affect the benefits you can get and the dollar amounts you can get from them. These include the agreements your band or governing body has with provincial, territorial, and federal governments. Before applying to any benefits, you should speak with your governing body, if applicable.
