Introduction
If you are a person with disability between the ages of 18-64 and living with low income, you may qualify for the Canada Disability Benefit. Administered by Service Canada, this monthly benefit supports working-age persons with disabilities who have been approved for the Disability Tax Credit.
The following provinces have exempted the Canada Disability Benefit as income: British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Quebec, Saskatchewan, Yukon. The province of Alberta considers the Canada Disability Benefit as non-exempt income.
